2010年5月23日,美国密苏里大学堪萨斯分校韩亮教授访问网络安全与密码技术重点实验室,并在成功楼603做了题为”Secret Sharing and Related Applications”(秘密分享及相关应用)的报告,会后实验室各研究方向教师和研究生就信息安全相关问题跟韩教授进行了深入的交流。


报告摘要:
Shamir’s (t, n) secret sharing scheme was first introduced in 1978 to  enable a dealer to divide a master secret into n shares such that any t or more  than t shares can reconstruct the master secret; but any t-1 or fewer than t-1  shares cannot obtain any information on the master secret. In this  presentation, I will introduce some properties of Shamir’s scheme, including  unconditional security, perfect secrecy, ideal secret sharing and secret  sharing homomorphism. Then, I will introduce my recent researches on secret  sharing, verifiable secret sharing, cheater detection in secret sharing, secret  sharing without a mutually trusted dealer. In addition, I will introduce some applications  using secret sharing, they are, group key distribution, membership  authentication and e-voting.

专家介绍:
Dr. Lein Harn received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical  Engineering from the National   Taiwan University  in 1977. In 1980, he received his MS in Electrical Engineering from the State  University of New York-Stony Brook and in 1984 he received his doctorate degree  in Electrical Engineering from the University   of Minnesota. He joined  as an Assistant Professor in the department of Electrical and Computer  Engineering at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1984 and in 1986, he  moved to Computer Science and Telecommunication Program (CSTP) of University of  Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). While at UMKC he went on development leave to work  in Racal Data Group in Florida  for a year. His research interests are cryptography, network security and  wireless communication security. He has published number of papers on digital  signature design and applications, wireless and network security. He has written  two books on Security. At present he is investigating new ways of using digital  signature in various applications.

    Lein Harn,美国密苏里大学堪萨斯机电工程系教授。 Lein Harn教授于1977年获得国立台湾大学电子工程理学学士学位,1980年获得纽约州立大学工电子工程硕士学位,并在1984年获得明尼苏达大学电子工程博士学位。同年,Lein Harn教授成为密苏里哥伦比亚分校电子与计算工程系副教员。1986年,Lein  Harn 教授移至密苏里大学堪萨克斯分校(UMKC)的计算机科学与通信项目(CSTP),并且离开UMCK一年,在佛罗里达的Racal  Data Group继续进行研究工作。Lein Harn教授的研究领域包括加密技术、网络安全与无线通信安全等。迄今为止,他已在数字签名的设计及应用、无线网络安全等方面发表了众多学术论文,撰写两本安全方面书籍。曾讲授过《数据安全与密码学》、《通信与网络安全》、《计算机系统入门》、《编码理论》等数10门课程。目前,他正在研究数字签名和秘密共享在通信应用中的新方法。个人网页 http://h.web.umkc.edu/harnl/ 。
